Western’s men’s hockey team will be playing the University of Washington on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Bellingham Sportsplex.
Friday’s game will be the first of the last three games of the season. All will be played at the Bellingham Sportsplex. The next game will be on Friday, Feb. 24 against Central Washington University. The last game is on Saturday, Feb. 25 against Walla Walla University.

Defenseman Kellen Charpentier said the Vikings have been pushing for this game since Western played their first game of the season against UW and won 3-1.
Right-winger Jeff Bulger said that the rivalry between them brings in a fun, rowdy crowd to the games.
“They’re a bigger school and we’ve had a winning record against them for the last three years,” Bulger said.
Coach John Dougan said they wouldn’t be preparing anything special for UW that they wouldn’t do for any other team.
“They’re a pretty good team and we are looking forward to the challenge,” Dougan said.
The Vikings have won 20 out of 22 games played this season.
