The Western men’s basketball team won in a hard fought game against Saint Martin’s University on Saturday Feb. 4, with a score of 70-67, winning their seventh game in a row. 

Western women’s basketball team beat Saint Martin’s University on Feb. 4 in Sam Carver Gymnasium.

Ah, the Super Bowl; the football game of football games.  It only happens once a year, and when it does, it can be pure magic. The New England Patriots are taking on the New York Giants on Sunday, Feb. 5 for the world champion title.  The teams are both located in the northeastern part of the country, which might make it seem that no one cares unless you live in the Eastern time zone. The reality is the Super Bowl is a game celebrated worldwide. 

Western’s women’s basketball team won against the Western Oregon University Wolves Thursday, Feb. 2, in Sam Carver Gymnasium.

Western softball’s first game of the season is in the Best of the West Tournament Saturday, Feb. 4, in California against San Francisco State.

Western survived a hard-fought battle Thursday, Feb. 2, beating Western Oregon 89-81 in overtime to clinch their sixth victory in a row and remain in first place in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. With the win, the 16th ranked Vikings improved to 19-3 overall and 10-1 in conference.
